Display Name and Username sit on different rows

A blank or a Japanese nick that saves in a Display Name can still fail in a unique Username. Open the screen that names the row, paste once, and read the preview before you spend a yearly or weekly change.

On Snapchat, open the Bitmoji profile, the gear, My Account, then Name. Official help documents 30 characters on Display Name and one Username change per year. Friends who already added you may still see the old Display Name, and a number saved in their phone can cover the line you just saved.

On Discord, desktop User Settings leads to My Account, then Profiles, then Display Name. The unique Username sits on a different control. A server nick is a third field under Per-server Profiles and needs Change Nickname permission.

On Roblox, Settings, Account Info, then the pencil labeled Change Display Name. Change Username on that same page spends Robux and edits the unique @. Display Name may change once every seven days. Japanese letters are documented as a beta on some accounts, so latin that saves and kana that fails often means that account lacks the beta.
