Open the gear in the upper-right, choose Settings, then Change Name when that control is on the screen. Enter the new name twice. The first change is free; later changes cost gems shown on that confirmation, not a number copied from an old guide.

How to put an invisible space in Clash Royale
- Keep a visible fallback name ready. After the first free change, the confirmation spends gems. Guides disagree on King Level, so read the live Settings screen.
- From the battle screen, tap the gear in the upper-right corner and open Settings. Leave Supercell ID on that same menu alone for this rename.
- Choose Change Name. Type the candidate twice in the two boxes. Player Tag stays on that Settings page and is a different identifier.
- Read the confirmation. The first change is free; later changes show gems on that prompt. If the paste tofu or empties, use the fallback before gems leave.
Change Name updates the name above your King. Player Tag is the # identifier on Settings. Supercell ID is the account login. Only Change Name spends the gem confirmation for this rename.
Third-party pages disagree on which King Level unlocks the button and on the gem ladder after the free change. Trust the confirmation in Settings before you pay.
