Blank line in an Instagram bio

Edit the Instagram Bio field

1. Open Instagram and tap your profile picture in the bottom bar to reach your profile.
2. Tap Edit profile, then select Bio in the profile editor.
3. Copy one option from the list and paste it once in Bio. Leave the Username box for your @username.
4. Save the profile, reopen it, and check whether the bio line still looks empty instead of showing a box.
5. For a blank-looking comment, open one of your own posts, paste one candidate, and check the preview before posting.
6. If Bio shows a visible box or the line disappears, restore readable text there instead of repeating the paste across several posts.

Bio and comments are separate Instagram fields. The compatibility table keeps their checked results apart, so a paste that stays in Bio does not automatically say anything about your @username.

The Bio field is short, so a single copied blank is enough for the check. A normal visible line is the safe fallback whenever the saved profile does not show what you expected.
