Blank Snapchat display name
To change the name friends see in Chat, paste in Settings → My Account → Name and tap Save. The unique Username is a different field. Friends who already added you may still see the old Display Name; a number saved in their phone can override it.

Check before you paste
Change the Snapchat Display Name
- Decide Display Name versus Username before you paste. Display Name is the line friends see in Chat. Username is the unique @ and official help allows one change per year.
- Open your Bitmoji profile, tap the gear, choose My Account, then Name. Stay on Name. Opening Username on that same list starts the yearly change.
- Paste into Name and read the counter on that screen. Official help documents 30 characters. Tap Save only after the preview still shows the candidate.
- Check Chat from a second account if you can. Friends who already added you may still see the old Display Name. A number saved in their phone can cover the name you just saved.
Display Name and Username are two rows under My Account. Mixing them burns the yearly Username change. Paste blanks only in Name unless you intended to spend that yearly slot.
A contact name on a friend’s phone can hide the Display Name you just saved. That is their address book, not a failed paste in Name.
